Spaghetti alla puttanesca

This is one of my favourite pasta dishes, I make it with either Spaghetti or Linguini (fresh if possible). Its spicy with a really nice depth of flavour. The best thing is that most of the ingredients can be put in the cupboard and forgotten. I normally keep the breadcrumbs in the freezer and the only thing you need to be fresh is the Tomatoes. In a pinch you can use canned Tomatoes (reduce the Olive Oil to a tablespoon if you do).

Homemade Beard/Moustache Oil

When I started this blog my plan was to do some non food related projects as well. I’ve always been experimental and try to do as many things as possible myself. In the past I’ve made soap at home and various other products. I recently grew a beard and tried a few commercial products to keep it soft and moisturised but they kept causing minor problems with my Sinus’s.

With Movember coming and that general winter air con dryness on the way I decided to make my own beard oil using ingredients that would not only moisturise and protect my beard but actually help clear my Sinus’s. I decided on Peppermint, Cedar wood and Lemon to cover all bases but feel free to experiment when making it yourself.
